JAMES JONES
Lead Pastor
Pastor James has been serving in pastoral ministry for almost 30 years. He is an honors college graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. holding a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and Music Performance. He received his Masters of Theology and Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has served previously in a wide variety of ministry roles, from church plants to large congregations in Tennessee, Oregon, North Carolina, California and Washington state. He became the Lead Pastor of Grace Chapel in May of 2022. James and his incredible wife Peggy have been married for 34 years and have three adult children (Shaylin, Ashleigh and Cameron) and one grandchild (Samuel).
James is also an active professional musician in the community and uses that bridge to connect with people throughout Columbia. He and his bestie enjoy traveling, road trips and sharing a bowl at their favorite restaurant, Konnichiwa. James also loves motorcycling, golf and building stuff.
James is a passionate, driven, relational teacher who believes that the strength of the Church is the people and he is committed to connecting with and equipping each person for the work of ministry and to become world changers starting in their own community.
